- Wash hands and collect the linen in order of use: bottom sheet, mackintosh, draw sheet, top sheet, blanket, counterpane, pillowcases.
- Place the linen on a chair, not on another bed or the floor.
- Strip the bed, rolling soiled linen away from you into the linen bag without shaking it.
