Cardiac Bed

The first 3 steps

  1. Confirm the indication — cardiac failure, severe dyspnoea or pulmonary oedema.
  2. Make an unoccupied bed with the usual bottom linen and a mackintosh and draw sheet.
  3. Position a backrest or raise the head of the bed to 80–90 degrees.
